Non-members are invited to attend 2 moms-only events (including meetings) & 2 children/family events before joining. For safety, non-members cannot attend events that are held at a member's house. Thanks for your understanding!
Events listed as "Public" on the calendar are not coordinated by our chapter, but are local events that members may be interested in. Anyone is welcome to attend these events without a RSVP, and they do not count towards the participation limit for non-members (in other words, you can attend as many as you want before joining).

Ladies it is time again for our Annual Open House!

This is a fun night where we invite non-members to come check us out. Please check your calendars and your contact lists, come along and bring a friend! Voting on Meeting Day

Below is a link to another survey. The result of the last survey indicated a pretty strong interest in moving the meeting day to Thursday from Tuesday. This is a two question survey, do you want to change the meeting day to Thursday and your name. We need your name so we can have a list of who voted in case the result are ever questioned. No one will be able to see your name but me and if you really want to be anonymous, just make up a name. This survey will run until midnight on Monday the 7th of September. After the decision is made on the day, hopefully we can address some of the other really good ideas that people submitted on what could be improved upon.

What: Mothers & More Silent AND Live Auction

When:Running now through Tuesday, August 25th 2009

Why: To raise money for our chapter - this is one of our BIGGEST fundraisers of the year!

How: Donate items (gently used or new), approach businesses and ask for donations (gift cards or items), or donate your (or your hubby's) time and talent (babysitting, cooking, sewing, art, etc) by SUNDAY AUGUST 16th After that date we will release the list of items up for bid and start the silent bidding process. Some items will be up for the Silent Auction and we will reserve some items for the Live Auction on Tuesday August 25th. If you can't make it to the live auction, send your highest bid to one of our Auction team members or a friend (kind of like e-bay) and they will bid on your behalf.********FOR EACH ITEM YOU DONATE, YOUR NAME WILL BE PUT INTO A DRAWING FOR A GIFTCARD JUST FOR YOU!******* So start working on getting those donations in. If you need a letter for a business with our tax ID number on it to show our non-profit status, just let me know and I will send one out to you. If you have any questions just let me know! Thanks so much for all you do!

Tuesday's Meeting

Tuesday the meeting will be at my house at 7PM. We will be discussing skin care and a represenative from clinique will be here to do facials. Please see the evite and let me know if you are attending. If you did not recieve an evite let me know. I was having some trouble with the site. Hope to see you there. Belling dancing will be rescheduled as I do not think time will allow both. We will do yoga if anyone wants to after if there is time .

A message from our State Mentor for Georgia Chapters of M&M, Elizabeth Fischer.

Mothers & More has had some wonderful changes lately! We are all familiar with the fantastic new logo. We are all familiar with the sharp new colors of pear and plum as well! We also all know that Forum has gone from a quarterly print publication to a more environmentally friendly and interactive MONTHLY online publication. This allows for our members to stay better connected with the organization and other mothers! We know that shortly our brand new website will be revealed and it will be beautiful and easy to navigate for prospective members, current members and chapter leaders.

Another new change affects chapter management. Formerly, chapters where grouped into areas and regions designated by letters and numbers. Not only was it confusing to members, leaders and volunteer staff, it was confusing to prospective members and potential new chapters. Effective following this call, our chapter management structure will change to provide a much cleaner, clearer and more intuitive organizational structure which should absolutely improve our successes!

Chapters will now be grouped together by their respective states. Instead of "region M" we will be know simply and easily by "Ohio". States will be grouped together by logical geographical areas (West, South, Midwest, Northeast) instead of numbers (area 1,2,3, 4, 5, 6). This will be helpful for non-members to find a chapter or start a chapter and also for current leaders and members to better hone in on who is out there to support them.

Also, a change has been made to the policy for potential members. Formerly potential members could only attend 2 meetings before being required to make a decision regarding membership. Now, potential members may attend any 2 chapter event; meeting, mothers nights out, playgroups, parties, etc, as decided upon by the chapter membership.

Welcome our newest member. Zoe Marie Alford's birthday was July 10th at 2:06AM. They are still in the hospital until tomorrow but Ann Marie is feeling really good and Zoe is pretty much perfect! Check out the pictures below.

Rebooting the Blog

Well this is the second try at starting up a blog for the club. The first effort didn't do terribly well and I am hoping that is because it was protected. It is now an open blog and no log in is needed to view it. This can be a great resource for sharing information if it is used. If there is something that you would like included on the blog, please let me know!
